We’re delighted to welcome you to the 37th EACTAIC Annual Congress 2022, to be hosted in the beautiful and historic Italian city of Naples!

Considering the difficult two years of the pandemic, we are really happy to see everyone in person, sharing our experiences, learning and participating in social events.

The slogan of EACTAIC 2022 – “Expanding the boundaries” – highlights the evolving role of cardiothoracic and vascular anaesthesia amidst the increasing complexity of cardiovascular diseases. As our specialty continues to become ever more sophisticated, there is a greater need for multidisciplinary collaboration and convergence between cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiac anaesthesia, with regards to building on our shared knowledge base and overlapping skillsets.

EACTAIC 2022 will focus on sharing innovative developments and providing up-to-date clinical and scientific information to help you advance your clinical practice and patient care.

CANCELLATION

FOR INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS AND SMALL GROUPS UP TO 10 PEOPLE ONLY
Notification of cancellation must be sent in writing to AIM GROUP INTERNATIONAL. Cancellations will be accepted until November 15, 2022 with a refund of all prepaid fees except for a 30% administration charge.
No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this date.
CANCELLATION BEFORE November 15, 2022: 30% OF THE REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE WITHELD
CANCELLATION AFTER November 15, 2022: NO REFUND
All approved refunds will be processed and issued 60 days after the congress.

CONGRESS APP
The free official EACTAIC APP, will be soon available for download on iOS and Android, will keep you updated about the Congress and the Society.

CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE
The certificate can be obtained downloading it from the event APP.
Each registered participant will receive an email during the congress with his credential to enter in the dedicated area of the APP.
Certificates will be available starting from December 16.

UEMS-EACCME Accreditation
The 37th EACTAIC Annual Congress "Expanding Boundaries”, Naples, Italy, 14/12/2022- 16/12/2022 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 13 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

LANGUAGE
The official language of the Meeting is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

LUNCHES
Congress admitted participants are entitled to receive a box lunch free of charge on December 14, 15 and 16, 2022.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME
The official congress dinner will be held on December 15, at restaurant D'Angelo Santa Caterina, located in the heart of the bustling hilltop district Vomero, in Naples.
You have the opportunity to join the event and take advantage of the occasion to meet Colleagues and Opinion Leaders by booking your place and purchasing the related ticket in advance.

E-POSTER
A Digital Poster Area will be set up at the Congress venue, with electronic stations where all E-posters may be viewed throughout the Congress.
Poster discussion will take place on December 14 from 16.00 to 18.00

ABSTRACT BOOK
Accepted abstracts will be published in the supplement of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia, available for download here starting from the first congress day.

NO-SMOKING
Smoking in the Meeting area is not allowed.

MOBILE PHONES
Delegates are kindly requested to set their mobile phones on silent mode in the Rooms where scientific sessions are being held.

PROGRAMME CHANGES
The organizers cannot assume liability for any changes in the programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances. Please check the website or the official APP for regular updates. The organizers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, or change any of the sessions or to add new sessions.

UNEXPECTED CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT OR IMPOSSIBILITY TO HOLD IT
In the unlikely case that the EACTAIC Annual Congress 2022 cannot be held in whole or in part due to any event beyond the Organisers’ control or force majeure (such as riot, fire, explosion, accident, flood, earthquake, sabotage, strikes, acts of any government, etc) the Congress Organisers cannot be held liable for any damage, cost, or loss incurred, such as registration fee, transportation and accommodation costs, or any other direct or indirect loss or consequential damage.

INSURANCE
Congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries or for loss of or damage to property belonging to congress participants, either during or as a result of the Congress. Therefore, please check the validity of your own insurance.
