HOW TO REACH HUNGEXPO CONGRESS CENTRE:
Metro + Bus: If you approach Hungexpo by public transport, Bus 10 is passing on a round way from Örs Vezér Tere metro station around HUNGEXPO and stops at each gate.
The bus departs every 30 minutes throughout the day, with increased departures every 10 minutes in the morning (between 7.40 and 10.00) and in the aftenoon at the end of the daily programme.

The pre-registration and on-site registration desks will be open for participants during the following days and times:

UEMS/EACCME Accreditation:

The 38th EACTAIC Annual Congress 2023 “Challenges and Opportunities”, Budapest, Hungary 11/10/2023 - 13/10/2023 , has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 18 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applictations

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

CME PROCEDURES

Attendance to the congress will be monitored through scanner devices.

Regulations require scanning in and out of the congress venue to collect the total amount of hours the medical specialist attended into the scientific programme as part of the educational activity of the congress.
Make sure to scan your badge when entering and exiting the congress venue.

Starting from Friday, October 13th, 2023 participants will receive an email with a link to access and complete the evaluation form.
The link will be active until  Friday, October 27th, 2023.

The CME certificate will be sent via email upon attendance verification.

Please note that within (November 8th, 2023), all data must be submitted to EACCME, therefore after that date it will not be possible to claim for credits.

CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE

All attending participants will receive their certificate by email after the congress, bewtween October 16 and October 20.

LANGUAGE

The official language of the Meeting is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

LUNCHES

Congress admitted participants are entitled to receive a box lunch free of charge on October 11, 12 and 13, 2023.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME

E-POSTER

A Digital Poster Area will be set up at the Congress venue, with electronic stations where all E-posters may be viewed throughout the Congress.

Poster discussion will also be scheduled and inserted in the congress programme.

ABSTRACT BOOK

Accepted abstracts will be published in the supplement of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anaesthesia, available for download here starting from the first congress day.

NO-SMOKING

Smoking in the Meeting area is not allowed.

MOBILE PHONES

Delegates are kindly requested to set their mobile phones on silent mode in the Rooms where scientific sessions are being held.

PROGRAMME CHANGES

The organizers cannot assume liability for any changes in the programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances. Please check the website or the official APP for regular updates. The organizers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, or change any of the sessions or to add new sessions.

UNEXPECTED CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT OR IMPOSSIBILITY TO HOLD IT

In the unlikely case that the EACTAIC Annual Congress 2022 cannot be held in whole or in part due to any event beyond the Organisers’ control or force majeure (such as riot, fire, explosion, accident, flood, earthquake, sabotage, strikes, acts of any government, etc) the Congress Organisers cannot be held liable for any damage, cost, or loss incurred, such as registration fee, transportation and accommodation costs, or any other direct or indirect loss or consequential damage.

INSURANCE

Congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries or for loss of or damage to property belonging to congress participants, either during or as a result of the Congress. Therefore, please check the validity of your own insurance.

The registration fee includes:

  • Unlimited access to all scientific sessions

Online registrations for in-person attendance will be accepted until October 4, after this date it will be possible to register directly on-site in Budapest.

 

Confirmation

At the end of the registration process online, a preliminary confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address provided.

Once the payment has been received, the invoice will be issued as final confirmation of your registration. The invoice will be issued by AIM GROUP HUNGARY KFT.

Participation letter with barcode/credentials will be sent few days before the congress. You will need it to access the meeting.

By Credit Card

Registration fees are in euros (EUR), not including 27% Hungarian VAT.

Payments must be made in euros, by credit card or bank transfer (no cash payments are accepted).

All major credit cards are accepted (American Express, VISA, Eurocard/Master Card).

Bank Transfer – accepted only within September 15th.

Please note:

– All transfer charges must be prepaid by the transmitter.

– Personal cheques, company cheques or Euro cheques will not be accepted.

– In case the deadline for registration at early fee has passed before payment of a registration is received, the higher registration fee shall automatically apply.

 

VISA REQUEST

Participants who need to receive a visa to enter Hungary are kindly requested to send an email to eactaic2023.reg@aimgroup.eu indicating the paid registration fee and enclosing copy of their passport.

 

NAME CHANGES

After August 21st, 2023 name changes will be charged of an handling fee of Euro 100,00 (VAT included) per name change. A new online registration for each replacement will be required before the name change can be processed.

CANCELLATIONS
FOR INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS

Notification of cancellation must be sent in writing to AIM GROUP INTERNATIONAL. Cancellations will be accepted until September 8, 2023 with a refund of all prepaid fees except for a 30% administration charge.

No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this date.

CANCELLATION BEFORE September 8, 2023: 30% OF THE REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE WITHELD

CANCELLATION AFTER September 8, 2023: NO REFUND

FOR GROUP REGISTRATIONS

Notification of cancellation must be sent in writing to AIM GROUP INTERNATIONAL. Cancellations will be accepted until August 21, 2023 with a refund of all prepaid fees except for a 30% administration charge.

NOTE: Registration is compulsory in order to present an abstract during the Meeting.

Final selection of abstract will be made by the Scientific Committee by the end of June. All abstracts’ corresponding authors will be then notified about the outcome (accepted or not accepted) of the review process.

Please ensure that the email provided during the abstract submission is accurate as all correspondences will be sent via email.

Please be informed that the scientific programme of the congress, including the list of all abstracts and related presenting authors, will be submitted to AIFA (Italian Ministry of Health) for a Pre-request of authorization.

Starting from August 1, 2021 the submitted abstracts cannot be withdrawn and no change to the titles or to the authors will be allowed.

Please note that the accepted abstracts will be published in the form given by the author and will not be edited/revised/corrected.
